On Wednesday morning, two persons were killed and three others suffered serious injuries in a massive explosion at an oxygen cylinder plant in Mohali district of Punjab.
The explosion took place in a unit located in the industrial area, Charan -9, sending shockwaves through the area. After the incident, senior officials of the police and civil administration, including the sub-division magistrate, reached the site to assess the situation and oversee the rescue efforts.
The injured have been transferred to the civil hospital in Mohali for treatment. Officials said the three were seriously injured, and their condition is being closely monitored.
The cause of the explosion has not been determined yet, and further investigation is underway.
