Los angels – There is no shortage of architectural inequalities like Hollywood sign, The Watts Towers and Space Edge Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles.
Now, the LA can add another to the list: a newly built five -storey residence for the dear late.
Tovers on huge grounds on Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s new vertical Gover Mossolium towers are Judi Garland, Silent Film Star Rudolf Valentino and “Gon with the Wind” actress Hutti McDaniel, the first Black American to win the Oscar, the last resting place for mythological actors like Black American.
“We are trying to respond to all the needs of our community to take care of death,” Tyler Cassette, Hollywood Forever’s co-owner and president, Tyler Cassett told CBS News of the Maqbar.
Ricardo Pantrath raised his family in Hollywood and visited his mother’s grave in Hollywood Forever Cemetery every week. He has bought 4 crypts in the new tomb, which was opened in January.
“This is a quad, so hopefully I will stay here and maybe some of my children will join me,” Pentrath told CBS News.
Two of the five floors of Gover Mousolium have already been sold.
“We are part of Hollywood forever, because I used to bring my family to teach how to drive here,” said Pentrath.
The Hollywood Forever cemetery is changing the definition of the cemetery by creating them for alive. It has festivals, morning yoga and movie nights. But the space is at a premium. Architects Roberto Xinburgh and Michael Lehrr, who designed Gover, faced the challenge of creating very permanent housing for around 13,000 people.
“The way we start all our projects, we only solve the problem,” Xinburgh told CBS News. “… Instead of buying more qualities outside the city, where people have to drive, it is just vertical.”
“It is somewhere between parking and housing. It was important to make beautiful,” Lehrr added Gover’s design.
The mausoleum welcomed visitors with soothing marble, sufficient natural light and amazing scenes of LA sites.
Design La resident Vanessa brings elements of peace and comfort to Morales.
“My grandmother will rest here forever, but we come to take at the moment,” said Morales. “It is good to know that she can rest in the end, and we are fine with knowing where she is permanently.”
