A lorry fire caused a delay of up to one hour on M62 near Hudersfield.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that the crew was called on fire for reports of a large vehicle on the Junctions 22 and 23 at the BST at 06:35 BST.
A spokesperson for the fire service said that the Blaze had since been extinguished and confirmed that no one was injured.
National highways stated that the carriageway remained closed with a traffic queue for six miles (9.7 km) between 23 and 24, returning to the junction 26 to Bradford South.
The traffic caught within the closure was now crossing the scene in the third lane, the agency said, and a diversion from Junction 24 was in place.
A National Highway spokesman said, “If this closed impacts your planned route, please allow additional travel time.”
“Plan ahead, you may want to root again or delay your journey.”
Emergency services including West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and National Highway Traffic Officers are in appearance.
