The RMT Union has announced that the London underground (Lu) will have a rolling strike action starting on Friday 5 September.
The Sangh claimed that the transport owners refused to join them on salary, fatigue management, extreme innings pattern and work week decrease.
RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsi said: “Fatigue and extreme shift rotation are serious issues affecting the health and well-being of our members- all of which have not been adequately addressed by LU management for years.”
A transport for London (TFL) spokesperson said: “We urge RMT to put their fair, cheap salary offer to their members and continue to join us.”
On Thursday, RMT accused the management of a “dismissal approach”, adding it to the employees, “widespread anger and mistrust” among the employees.
Employees of different grades will take industrial action at different times as part of rolling strike action.
The TFL spokesperson said: “We regularly meet with our trade unions, which can discuss any concerns, and we recently meet to discuss some specific points with RMT.
“We are committed to ensure that our colleagues be treated properly and at the same time offered a 3.4% salary increase in our ongoing salary discussions, we have progressed on many commitments made earlier.
“We welcome further engagement with our unions about fatigue and rostering in the London underground, but the decrease in the weeks that works for 35-hours is neither practical nor cheap.”
In a separate dispute on salary and conditions, workers on Dollands Light Railways will also be striking during this period in the week starting from September 7.
Mr. Dempsi said: “RMT will continue to attach the heat management to seek a revised proposal to reach a conversation.”
