After attending the NFL’s International Player Pathway (IPP), the Rees-Zammit was initially signed for the heads of the Canasus City, but was cut off after failing to impress during the pre-season performance in 2024.
Rees-Zammit then joined Jacksonville Jaguar, where he spent the entire 2024 season as part of the franchise’s practice squad.
Despite being eligible for the height for Jaguar’s active 53-man roster on two occasions as part of NFL’s IPP player rules, Jaguar never chose the option to raise the ress-zamit, including both his international sports in London.
Welshman temporarily left the franchise at the end of the 2024 season, but was soon signed as part of the extended off-season roster.
In July, reports out of Jaguar’s training camp suggested that Ris-Zammit had remembered the practices due to a back injury, and his future was kept in suspicion with the franchise.
And on Thursday, Rees-Zammit announced his decision to leave NFL and return to Rugby.
Prior to leaving the Rugby Union in January 2024, Rees-Zammit won 32 caps for Wales.
Their former clubs, glusesters, return to Premiership Action on 25 September, while the United Rugby Championship season begins the next day.
