A 76 -year -old man has been accused after the children fell ill at a summer camp in Lessestershire.
An investigation was initiated by Eight children and an adult at the camp at eight children and Statharns Lodge, Stathry by the Leesestershire police, rushed to the hospital on Monday. All have been discharged since then.
Police Watchdog, Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said it was investigating the incident to deal with the force.
John Ruben of the Landmere Lane in Rudington, Nottinghamshire has been accused with three cases of ill -treatment of a child belonging to three boys.
He has been sent to custody and will appear in the Lacester Magistrate Court on Saturday.
Police said they received a report for the first time that the children became unwell on Sunday at a summer camp on the site.
Chief Crown Prosecutor for Crown Prosecution Service at East Midlands said: “This has been a very upset and shocking moment for the community and especially for children and parents.
“We all want to remind you all that now has active criminal action against Mr. Ruben, and he has the right to test.”
