A person has been arrested after a fire attack on Armagh.
Police said they received a report of fire on Irish Street at around 20:55 BST on Monday evening. The firefighters participated in the fire and extinguished.
The 38 -year -old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with the intention of endangering life.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said that two people were taken to the Craigwon Area Hospital after preliminary treatment.
Police have said that the road remains closed at this time.
Sin Fen MP for Newuri and Armagh, Dare Hughes appreciated emergency services for those in the field in the “horrific experience” for those in the field.
He said, “The police will remain in that area in the coming hours, as their investigation is going on.”
“My thoughts are with someone who may be injured or affected by this incident.”
