The brother of a man who carried out the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing has been accused of killing three jail officials and attempting for the fourth attack.
Hashham Abdi, who was jailed in 2020 in 2020 in 2020, is accused of attacking four guards in HMP Frankland at County Durham on 11 April to help plan suicide bombing.
Abedi, who was placed in a separation unit in the jail, also faces the allegation of unauthorized possession of a knife in the jail.
He is scheduled to appear in the Westminster Magistrate Court on 18 September.
