Many football fans will know about the story of volcanic ash Badal, which stands by Robert Levandowski Possible steps for Blackburn Rovers – But there was another club in England that the striker wishes he joined.
“I decided for Manchester United and said yes,” he told the BBC Sport. “I wanted to join Manchester United to see Alex Ferguson.”
The possibility of a step for Red Devils came in 2012, when Levandowski Borusia was proliferately scoring at the dortmund – and two years after a volcanic explosion in Iceland, her Blackburn switch was paid.
However, the German club simply did not want to let its amulets striker go.
“They couldn’t sell me,” said Levandowski. “Because they knew that if I stop they could earn more money, and that I could probably wait for one or two more years.
“But it is true that I said yes to Manchester United.”
While the step failed to physic, Levandowski enjoyed a great career in some of Europe’s largest clubs, winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich and La Leiga in its current club Barcelona.
At the age of 37, he has no plans to retire at any time soon, but accepts a premiere league opportunity that he has probably passed by him.
Speaking in a comprehensive interview with Liam McDewit, Levandowski said: “It may be a regret [not to play in the Premier League],
“But when i’m looking back [having] Bayern Munich, Dortmund and now played for Barcelona, I want to say that I am very happy with my career.
“I don’t realize that I missed anything, because every step or decision … I made because I wanted it.”
