Bristol -born Stewart played in all the top four levels in England, scoring 254 goals in 783 matches in his 20 -year game.
He joined the coaching staff of Yehovil in June 2022 and confirmed his MND diagnosis three months later.
Stewart said, “It is very difficult to clean my teeth, put my shoes, it seems that my right hand has been impressed now and on my left.”
“But all this is about finding a solution for me, there is no problem. That is what I have found every time that affects me in some way.”
While football has been a life of Stewart for decades, he said that he has not yet remembered the game – his time helped a sense of a sense to prepare an upcoming step for Manchester with his family.
“Purely because I have always spent this time of the year anyway for the last 30-year years, it is just normal to me,” he said.
“Give it one or two months when things have settled and I am at home and I am watching more football, I think it’s a question.
“There are many things going on in my life at the moment.”
Stewart said that his life was a big help in his life since his diagnosis.
“I am sure if I look back in two or three years time I realize that the football environment is needed to help me deal with the diagnosis,” he said.
“And the support he has supported me as a club and the staff members are the top class.”
