According to police and reports, the Maura police officer was shot dead on Friday, responding to the reports of a person firing from the rifle in the area of the Old Sugar Mill.
The Maura police department said in a statement, the officer who has not been identified was badly killed in Piya in Piya in Piya.
The suspect, who is not named, has been taken into custody.

The brief statement said, “The Maura Police Department is deeply saddened to confirm that this evening, an officer of our officers was badly injured in the shooting shooting.”

“He was the best of us, and we are grateful to him,” he said. “It is a complete tragedy. It is a dark day in the history of the Maura Police Department and our community.”
“This is something that will not expect any of us, although we prepare for it, and it is absolutely terrible,” he said.
