Census City Mayor Quinton Lucas argued that Race was increasing the rift of President Donald Trump on crime in major American cities like Washington, DC as they are run by black mayors.
On Monday, Trump posted the National Guard in Washington, DC and made the police department federal to tighten the crime in the area. During a press conference, he listed several other cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore and Okland as other places, which are being damaged by crime.
Talking to CNN’s Kate Bolduan on Wednesday, Lucas reported that many of those major cities have black mayors, such as themselves, and it is believed that both the race and politics are mainly behind Trump’s more recent attacks.

Lucas said, “I will not say that it has totality, but I think it is at all.” “You are often trying to create a counterpoint in politics. And what is a better counterpoint than Donald Trump, the way you see him, and a mayor? The black female mayor has been a matter of many attacks.”
Lucas listed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, as Trump has preferred to “choosing the fights” and also encouraged others, even though his city is experiencing high crime rates.
“And by the way, it is one of the best quarrels to take, because I have to sit in front of you and say, yes, there are murders in my city. Yes, there is a crime. But we don’t think the prescription is necessary as help,” Lucas said. “This is a difficult situation. But I think, clearly, this is the situation that we are in. And he is really not interested in trying to save life for us, but just exploiting political issues.”

Lucas commented that his city is unlikely to be targeted by Trump due to his Republican Governor, and “it is not just interesting with a broad political point.”
Lucas said, “This is nothing, but there is an issue against American cities and against American mayors, which are not a single megonephone to respond to a large extent.”
A black woman, DC Mayor Muril Boseer, has called Trump’s National Guard “uncelling and unprecedented” and has repeatedly argued that the city is not experiencing spikes in crime.
