The new tab allows users to detect, launch and download third party apps without leaving the Xbox interface. Xbox Product Manager Devin Dhaliwal reported that “my apps” support a collected gaming library, leading to a well -organized experience for PC players. This means that gamers can spend less time in desktop or microsoft store and more time.
The Xbox app already supports platforms such as steam, battle.net and UBISOFT connect, allowing users to look at several libraries at the same location. The “My Apps” expands it by incorporating browsers and gaming utilities, giving users the same hub to manage all the necessary software. Initial testing suggests that apps such as Chrome and Battle.net are launched directly when installed, while apps such as Gog Galaxy can be downloaded within the Xbox interface. Some installations failed during beta testing, which is expected, but Microsoft plan to expand support and improve reliability over time. This feature responds to the growing requirement of portable and user -friendly gaming solutions. Handheld devices benefit from an integrated interface that reduces friction and simplifies navigation. Gamers can now move efficiently between tools, games and stores.
What is expected from this facility?
