Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called for the divine discus of Lord Krishna to announce the Sudarshan Chakra Mission to strengthen India’s security architecture, saying that it would be “full shield” for civilian places such as strategic installations, hospitals and trust centers by 2035.
Modi said at his independent day address, “During the war of Mahabharata, the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Krishna obstructed the sunlight, and it helped Arjuna to fulfill his oath to kill Jayadrata. This inspired it, the country will now launch the Sudarshan Chakra Mission.”
He said that the mission would include advanced surveillance, interception and counter-harassment capabilities, which are to rapidly neutralize the dangers. “It will have a system that will work one step ahead of all possible attacks in the future,” he said. He added the program, from research and development to manufacturing, would be completely indigenous.
Modi said that the mission will focus on developing a system for targeted and accurate action, integrating state -of -the -art techniques to create a powerful, multi -layered defense shield around important points across the country.
