Chennai/Trichy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two -day visit to Tamil Nadu has come as a morale booster not only for BJP workers but also for AIADMK rank and file. His meeting with AIADMK Netas, including Palaniswami of Edappi at the airport, is seen recently as a re-confirmation of the BJPaAIADMK alliance amid public disagreement over power-sharing. O Modi’s decision not to engage with Panneerselvam has further assured AIADMK cadres that BJP gives importance to its partnership before the 2026 elections. For BJP workers, Modi’s participation at Adi Thiruvathirai festival, exposing Chola Mahima, served as a cultural counter -protest for the DMK’s Kailadi story, accusing the BJP of trying to whiten the rich past of Tamil Nadu.AIADMK is excited, especially not only EPS, but also other-rounded nets like KP Munusamy, SP Veluman and Thalwai Sundaram were allowed to receive Modi at the airport. Senior AIADMK leader S. Semalai said, “By rejecting OPS’s request, Modi has sent a hint – only the parties that we are comfortable will be part of the coalition.”BJP officials also say that this journey has helped to build agarotes-level bonds. Some AIADMK cadres who had previously felt that EPS was being armed, now sees the partnership as voluntary and valuable.BJP’s Trichy District Head Shriram Shankar said, “AIADMK collected cadres for PM’s Trichie Roadshow.
