After changing the need for a new law in 2023, he is the first CDC director to undergo the confirmation of the Senate. Prior to his confirmation, Monarez served as acting director of CDC from the beginning of this year.

Trump tapped Monarez in March in March, which was a former member of the House, Dr. After David Weldon withdrew his nomination, it was clear that he could not get enough votes to cross the finish line from the Senate Republican.
He appreciated the credibility of Monarez, and alleged that the Americans had “lost confidence” in the CDC.
“Dr. Monarez will work closely with Robert Kennedy Junior, the great secretary of our great health and human service,” he said on social media at that time. “Together, they would prioritize accountability, high standards and prevention of disease that in the end address the chronic disease epidemic and, make America healthy again!”
But it is also a question that Monrez and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior can work together.
During the hearing of his confirmation last month, Senate Democrats granted Monarez on whether he agreed with Kennedy’s vacancies. Kennedy has long been outspoken about her doubts about vaccines, especially Covid -19 vaccines.

The CDC has been killed with a cut and resignation of thousands of employees and is subject to changes in the vaccine policy-especially Kennedy’s decision to remove Kovid-19 from the vaccine schedule for pregnant women and healthy children in six months.
“I think vaccines save life. I think we need to continue to promote the use of vaccines,” Monarez said during his confirmation hearing.
His confirmation also comes as a Kennedy, in its budget request for HHS, for the upcoming financial year, the CDC of about 50%seeks a slash in funding in funding or about $ 9.2 billion to $ 4.2 billion.

And a HHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital, “Once Dr. Monarez is confirmed, the secretary is ready to work with him to carry forward general knowledge policies that will make America healthy again.”
