“Before the war, a charity helped me achieve gluten -free products, which I could never tolerate myself,” she said.
“Ever since the war began, I can’t know what I need in the market, and even when I do, I can’t tolerate it. Can it not enough to live in daily bombing, displacement and a tent that molds us with neither heat nor winter cold – and now that is the famine on it?”
29 -year -old Rida Hijeh said that her five -year -old daughter Lamia had fallen from 19 kg to 10.5 kg (23LBS).
He said that Lamia was healthy before the war started and she had no pre -diseases.
“All this happened only due to famine,” he said.
“The child has nothing to eat. There are no vegetables, no fruit.”
Now, Lamia is suffering from swelling in her feet, thinning hair and nervous problems, she said.
“She can’t walk. I went to many clinics, doctors and hospitals. She told me that my daughter is suffering from malnutrition. But none of them gave me anything, no treatment, no support.”
Mandy Blackman, a British nurse working for the charity UK-Mad, said that 70% of mothers, who participated in their maternal health, had clinical malnutrition among the pre-pre-delivery and post-delivery clinics.
“As a result, infants are given small and more unsafe,” he said.
More than 62,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel started its military operation in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, with about 1,200 people killed and 251 others were taken hostage.
Since the onset of the war, at least 271 people, including 112 children, have died of “famine and malnutrition”, according to Gaza’s Hamas-Interested Health Ministry.
Another woman living in Gaza City, Essel said: “Five months ago, I was weighing 56 kg (123lbs). Today, my weight is only 46 kg (101LBS).”
He said that he had not eaten a single piece of fruit or meat in months and spent his entire savings on basic materials to survive.
She lives with Essel’s sister-in-law-she has a one-month-old baby.
“She is searching for a strict discovery of the child’s formula at a reasonable price,” Essel said.
He said that when they can find it, its cost is 180 Shekel (£ 39) per can.
“I have no food reserves, not enough for one or two weeks,” he said.
“Like thousands of people, we live day by day.”
