A woman in New Zealand was arrested on Sunday when a 2 -year -old girl was trapped after being trapped in a suitcase.
Police was called to a bus depot in Kivaka – about 62 miles north of Auckland – after a bus driver was worried about a bag during a fixed stop after a bus driver.
“When the driver opened the suitcase, he discovered the 2 -year -old girl,” said Detective Inspector Simon Harrison. “The little girl was reported to be very hot, but otherwise it appeared physically untoward.”
According to the police, the suitcase was stored in a separate compartment under bus passengers.
Harrison said that the girl is undergoing a comprehensive medical evaluation in the hospital.
The 27 -year -old woman was arrested and accused of sick treatment and neglect of a child. Harrison said that further allegations are possible.
The relationship between the woman and the child was not immediately released. The woman is scheduled to appear in the North Noise District Court on Monday.
“We want to accept and appreciate the bus driver who saw something was not right and immediate action, which could have a very bad consequence,” Harrison said.
