The widow of a person who killed a person is campaigning to fund the bleed kit in the city where he was killed.
40 -year -old James Cook was declared dead on the spot at Castle Gate in Newark, Nottinghamshire on 1 May.
His widow, Edel, 55, is organizing a sponsored hike up snowdon in September to raise £ 2,000 for the kit, which can help prevent severe bleeding.
“They can be a difference between life and death,” he said.
“we will never know [for sure] But this could have made a difference.
“I don’t want any other family to pass through it.
“If I can save a person’s life, he did not die in vain, did he?”
Mrs. Cook plans to campaign against a knife crime – which will include negotiations in schools and colleges – and currently the funds for the bleed kit.
The expert kit is designed to provide treatment for a person suffering from severe bleeding while waiting for emergency medics.
They have straps and tournates and will be placed in public places around the city.
The initial idea for Snowden Yatra was to help Mrs. Cook in the process of grief.
She admitted that she “does not run at shops, never pay attention to a mountain for seven hours”.
The plan was to go to the mountain of Welsh and “scream and scream and scream until it all comes out”, but the idea increased and now he is joining by about 16 others.
He said: “Things are never going to happen again.
“A song will come on the radio … It’s a birthday, it’s Christmas. It is a living bad dream.
“He loved everyone and I just want to keep his memory alive.”
So far, cookie crusaders have raised £ 170 of their target of £ 2,000.
The 22 -year -old Brandon Biren of Winston Court, Newarark has made another charge of not being guilty of killing Mr. Cook and holding an aggressive weapon publicly.
