Mayor Eric Adams is being sued to conduct a “criminal conspiracy” in the department to enrich the top officials by a former high -class New York Police Department official.
A spokesperson of Adams, who is running for re -election as an independent, called the allegations “baseless allegations from a disgruntled former employee”.
Politico reported The former interim NYPD Commissioner Tom Donalon on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against the Adams, Department and many other present and former city officials in the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan.
In his suit, Donalone alleged that “a coordinated criminal conspiracy had rooted at the highest level of the city government – wire fraud, mail fraud, fraud of honest services, fraud of honest services, obstruction of justice and vengeance against whistleblower.”
According to the outlet, there is an amount of Donalone’s allegations against New York City officials.

Donalon said that “this enterprise – NYPD – was criminal at its origin.”
Politico also stated that Donalon said in a statement that “the lawsuit is not a personal complaint; it is a statement against a corrupt system that cheats the public, calms the truth, and punishes the integrity.”
Donalon wrote, “The goal is to run real changes, corrupt, fraud and abusively powerful accountable, and to restore the voice of every respectable officer, which has been denied justice.”

In response, Kayla Mmelike Alts, a spokesman for Adams, told Fox News Digital that “these are unfounded allegations from a disgruntled former employee – when given the opportunity to lead the greatest police department in the world – proved himself ineffective.”
“This suit is nothing more than an attempt to try to compensate for the taxpayer, when Mr. Donalon was correctly removed from the role of the Interim Police Commissioner,” the Mummaleer Altus claimed.
The spokesperson said that Adams’ office would “respond in court, where we believe that these absurd claims will be rejected.”

Adams is currently facing a difficult battle for re-election against Democratic candidate Zoharan Mamdani, a self-prohibited Democratic Socialist, as well as New York Gove Andrew Kuomo, who is running as an independent and Republican candidate and activist Sleeva.
