Essex police said police officers were attacked and their vehicles were damaged during a protest at a hotel used for shelter seekers.
Hundreds of people protesting about the use of the hotel were on the site on the site on Thursday, as well as a small supporter-revival performance.
Bal said that an officer suffered minor injuries on his neck and said that the hotel itself was damaged.

The force stated that it had identified the suspects who carried out criminal damage and attacking officers, and they were analyzing cameras, drones and footage from social media.
“We know that the people who commit these crimes do not represent the apps or Essex,” said Supa Syman Anslo.
“Anything about the aggressive we saw tonight is the representative of these communities, or a peaceful event that ended before the beginning.”
CHPT Anslow said that the previous performances on the site were peaceful, valid and responsible.
BBC Essex political reporter Simon Deadman, who was on the spot, estimated that there were about 400 people on Thursday.
Last week, Chris Whitbred, Conservative Leader of the Epping Forest District Council, called the home office to stop the housing shelter at the hotel.
He joined by two local Tory MPs – Neil Hudson and Alex Bergart of Epting Forest, representing Brentwood and Ongar. He claimed that the Home Office did not understand “the seriousness of the situation”.
It followed the arrest of a refugee seeker on suspicion of alleged sexual attacks in the city.
Vemon Bennett, a member of the stand up to racism, participating in the rally, said: “Britain is a peaceful country in which people should be allowed to go about their business without attacking.”
Milli Smith, who lives in the approach and attends the rally, said: “Here is a very misinterpretation of who is here and why they are here.”

A 65 -year -old man from Harlo was arrested on Thursday in connection with an alleged attack which was close to the hotel on Sunday.
He was accused and released on bail. He is due to appearing in the Chemsford Magistrate Court in September.
