Officials said a person shot a person on Friday at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, who was trying to reach the base illegally outside the Tuxon on Friday, the officials said.
The Air Force said in a news release, around 2:30 pm, suspected, a non-monitoring citizen, failed to stop and identify themselves at the main gate. The release said that the person was driving wrongly, the vehicle stationed crashed into the barrier and reversed the vehicle. A member of the security unit on the base, the 355th security force squadron, then shot the suspect.

“We definitely regret the loss of life that takes place this morning,” Commander Colonel Jose Cabrera said in a statement. “Our defenders have a very difficult task and have worked according to their training and policy to ensure the establishment of our airmen and safety.”
