The Meteorological Department said on Monday that Uttar Pradesh is experiencing heavy rains, which is expected to continue without significant changes for the next 24-36 hours.

The monsoon trough moved to the north of its normal state, which was passing through Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Shamli and more. Additionally, a cyclonic movement on the northeastern part of the state adjacent to Bihar is contributing to heavy rainfall.
Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya Weather
The brunt of the weather fury was especially visible in cities like Kanpur, Lucknow and Ayodhya, where the streets turned into streams and flexibility became necessary.

Varanasi: Ganga broke the danger level
On Sunday, the water level of the Ganges in Varanasi broke the danger mark of 71.26, submerged all 84 ghats and flooded over 24 areas and more than 32 villages in the district.
The flood has displaced about 6,583 people in the district, forcing them to move to safe areas.
Prevention
In prayer, heavy rains led to a flood -like situation, in which large parts of the city experienced serious waterfalls.

12 dead in Uttar Pradesh due to weather crisis
In the last 24 hours, at least 12 people died in floods, electricity, drowning and snake bites in Uttar Pradesh, even due to continuous rains, major rivers were swollen and 17 districts were flooded.
Flood-Hit districts include Kanpur Nagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, Auraiya, Chitrakoot, Ballia, Banda, Gazipur, Mirzapur, Shradragraj, Varanasi, Chanduli, Jalan, Kanpur Dehat, Hamirpur, IGAWA and Fatehpur.
NDRF, SDRF and PAC personnel have been deployed to rescue operations in flood-land areas.
