The Pentagon is encouraging its civic employees to join a “volunteer force”, assisting the immigration efforts of the Homeland Security, Fox News.
The Defense Department informed about 950,000 civilian employees in an email of Wednesday, stating that they can apply to work with customs and border security (CBP) along with immigration and customs enforcement (ICE).
“DHS and DOD officially signed a [memorandum of agreement] This DOD allows citizens to participate in detail, “an US defense officer told Fox News.” DOD Citizen Employees are now able to apply for these details through USAsobs. The department pushed out an email to civilian employees, which encourage them to apply tomorrow. ,
Usajobs posting states that “broad overtime” may be required and conditions in some places may be “utte”. It adds that ice and CPB can pay all base pay, overtime, premium salary and travel expenses.

The Pentagon move comes as the Homeland Security Department is already working to hire 10,000 additional full -time ICE officers. Last week, DHS made some 100,000 applications received for the post.

“Thanks to a big beautiful bill, now we have funds to recruit and hire Americans who want to serve their country and protect American communities,” Liones said.
