A former priest led the accused of misbehaving with members of a church group, convicted in 17 cases of indecent attacks against nine women.
Chris Brain, 68, was the head of Seva (NOS) at nine o’clock, which was an impressive engine movement in Sheffield in the 1980s and 90s.
Wilmslo’s brain in Cheshire was convicted of allegations after a test in the Inner London Crown Court.
He was not found guilty of another 15 allegations of indecent attack, while the gamblers intentionally continued on another four cases of indecent attack and one allegation of rape.
Wearing a black suit with a black tie, the brain did not show any feeling, as the jury foreman gave the decisions.
The jury is expected to return to court on Thursday to continue its discussion in the remaining cases.
During the trial, prosecutor Tim Clarke KC said some women were sexually abused after being admitted to a so -called “homebase team” on charges of taking care of the brain and their family.
He told the court that the group is known as “Lycra Lovely” or “Lycra Nun” among NOS members.
The women needed to do domestic work at the house shared with their wife and daughter, the prosecution said, as well as put her in bed with sexual favor.
The NOS began in the Sheffield in 1986 and was initially celebrated by the Church of England leaders for its nightclub-style services, which attracted hundreds of youth.
In the early 1990s, it went to the city’s pond forge Leiser Center due to its popularity.
However, NOS was dissolved in 1995 after raising concerns about brain behavior.
