President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump departed to visit Kerville, Texas on Friday, after a massive floods in the region who have killed more than 120 people.
Trump is expected to meet with local authorities and first respondents, which is navigating after the flash floods that destroy the Central Texas community after the Guadalup River spoke more than 22 feet.
Among those who died in the floods were Camp Mistic at least 27 campers and consultants, a Christian Summer Camp set up for girls about 100 years ago. According to officials, in the meantime, more than 160 people are missing and unattainable for Kerry County, Texas.
The White House on Monday revealed that Trump would go to the flood site to see the devastation.
“I will go down with the first woman on Friday, and we will travel a trip,” Trump said at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. “And we don’t want to get into anyone’s way, because you know what it is. The President goes, and everyone focuses. I do not want anyone to focus on us, but it is possible that they can be.”

The Trump administration has faced an investigation from Democrats to the disaster response, especially for a new policy that the Secretary of Homeland Security Christie NoM approved in June before the flood, for which it needs to sign any department’s expenses, including disaster-related expenses, which are more than $ 100,000.
According to CNN, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) NOEM allegedly waited for more than 72 hours before the flood started before the flood started before the approval of urban discovery and rescue teams.
Meanwhile, NOEM on Thursday dismissed the reliability of the report during a segment on “Fox and Friends”, claiming that the report was “fake news”.
The Homeland Security Department (DHS), who oversees FEMA, told Fox News Digital that the agency has taken “all-hand-on-deck approach” in response to the crisis when asked about the CNN report.
“Older procedures have been replaced because they have been thwarting Americans in actual emergency situations for decades,” DHS spokesman Trisia McLaglin said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
Trump also defended his administration’s response and during a Tuesday cabinet meeting said at the White House that “you had people as anyone had ever seen.”
Nevertheless, the disaster creates uncertainty about FEMA’s future, as Trump has called for mass reforms in the agency.

Trump said in June that he “wanted to get out of FEMA, and we want to bring it back to the state level.”
White House press secretary Karolin Lewitt said that FEMA’s future is a ongoing discussion when he was asked if the flood has inspired Trump to revaluate his position on Overhalling FEMA.
“The President wants to ensure that American citizens always need them at the time of need,” Levitt told reporters on Monday. “Does this aid comes from the states or the federal government, it is a policy discussion that will continue. And the President has always said that he wants the states to do as much as they can, if not more.”

Meanwhile, NOEM appreciated FEMA’s efforts that responded to the disaster during the cabinet meeting, even rape. Some MPs such as Jreds Moscovitz, D-Flow have also called late to investigate the reports of the FEMA response.
“FEMA is deployed, and we are cutting through the paperwork of the old FEMA, it is very much streamlined in such a way how FEMA should operate,” NoM said. “This is a much better response to help these families get from this terrible situation.”
