Operation will go down as an example in humanity’s fight against terrorism in vermilion history, President Draupadi Murmu told The Nation on the eve of 79th Independence Day on Thursday, as he took the examination of a self -sufficient India during conflict and unity of the nation, which was the most response according to him, which wanted to divide India.
At a 40 -minute address, Murmu did not mention the American tariff on India, but referred to “stress” in the global economy. He argued that “all major indicators” show the Indian economy in pink color and “demand at home is moving”. The President mentioned how welfare schemes were prepared to prevent people from slipping back into poverty. He said that income inequality and regional inequalities are decreasing and said that astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s space trip “had a big dream to an entire generation”.
Amidst the ongoing controversy over the special intensive amendment of the Election Commission in Bihar, the President highlighted India’s universal adult franchise, which “came without any restriction of gender, religion and other factors, which stopped many people from voting in other democracy” and said that democratic institutions in India “strengthened the practice of democracy”.
Three months after the Indo-Pakistan struggle in May, the President, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, welcomed the rise of self-sufficient India in the Operation Sindoor and the defense sector.
Calling India’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April as a judge, Murmu told The Nation, “This year we faced a crisis of terrorism. Killing innocent citizens on holiday in Kashmir responded with cowardly and completely inhumanity. Clear and technical capacity, he destroyed the terrorist hub across the border.
He appreciated the united Spirit of India and said that the world has paid attention to India’s attitude. “There was also a test case of the self -reliant Bharat Mission in Operation Sindoor Defense Sector. The result has proved that we are on the right path. Our indigenous manufacturing has achieved significant levels that make us self -sufficient in meeting many of our safety requirements. These have been since independence in India’s defense history.”
Murmu explained how a new independent India opted for universal adult suffrage without any restriction.
“After re -acquiring our freedom, we also became a democracy with universal adult franchise. In other words, we people of India put the power to shape our fate in each of us, without restricting gender, religion and other factors, prevented many people from voting in other democracy.
“It was the oldest republics in the world in India. It is correctly accepted as the mother of democracy. When we adopted the Constitution, it provided education of democracy. We created democratic institutions that strengthened the practice of democracy. We put our constitution and our democracy above everything.”
The President talked about India’s “extraordinary progress” in 78 years and told the nation that achievements in the economic field were noticeable.
“With a GDP growth rate of 6.5% in the last financial year, India grows fastest among the world’s major economies. Even amidst tension in the global economy, demand at home is moving forward. Inflation is under control. Exports are increasing. All major indicators are increasing health pink.
In his speech, Murmu said that the government was running a series of welfare initiatives for the poor and which had risen above the poverty line, but still weak. “It is reflected in increasing expenses on social services. Income inequality is decreasing. Regional inequalities are also disappearing. States and regions, which are previously known for weak economic performance, are now showing their real potential and holding with the front runner,” he said.
“Our business leaders, small and medium industries and traders have always demonstrated a can-do spirit; what was needed was removing bottlenecks in the path of money creation,” said Murmu.
He said that the new rail link in Kashmir was a “major achievement” as it would promote trade and tourism in the region. Murmu said that the government considered the basic facilities of life as the right claims of citizens and highlighted schemes such as Jal Life Mission and Ayushman Bharat which provides cover to over 55 million people. “As the inequalities are removed in access, the poor and lower middle classes also benefit from the best possible health care facilities,” he said.
He also talked about the dramatic progress of the IT sector and how is more than half of the total number of digital transactions in the world in India. He said, “In addition, we are increasing our self -sufficiency in every field. This has increased our confidence and the pace of our journey towards becoming a Vikasit India has increased,” he said.
