Bottles and smoke flares have been thrown towards police vehicles during a protest at a hotel used for shelter seekers.
After holding a protest for BST 18:00, hundreds of people have gathered at the Bell Hotel site in Essex, Essex.
The disorder followed the arrest and charge of a refugee seeker on suspicion of alleged sexual attacks in the city.
The Essex police announced that it would implement a Section 60AA order by Monday – after unrest on the site on Thursday, would require the removal of facial coverings, which saw three arrests.
The protesters chanting “send them homes” and “save our children”, as Projectile was thrown to the police van blocking the entrance of the hotel.
During the protest, a small number of protesters wore Balaklav and facial coverings.
Police said the police on Thursday saw people wearing face covering and “serious actions of disorder” after a protest.
A spokesperson of the force said: “We will deal with someone strong and quickly with the intention of getting into Eating for selfish criminal behavior.
“The right to peaceful protest is protected by the law and allows everyone to be freedom of expression, but it should be done respectfully and if there is any risk for public arrangements we will act appropriately.”
