Green replied to a post on X from the account, “Open Source Intel”, stating that Ukraine launched one of the biggest “drone attacks” on Russia in recent hours.
The Republican MP wrote, “On the eve of the historic peace talks between President Trump and President Putin, Zelancesi does so.” “Zelancesi does not want peace and obviously trying to vandalize President Trump’s brave efforts to end the war in Ukraine. I pray that peace is strong.”

Ukraine on Thursday launched several drone strikes in Russia, damaging several apartment buildings in Rostov-on-Don in the southern city and injuring more than a dozen citizens, according to the region’s acting governor, Yuri Sleussar. Two of them were admitted to the hospital in critical condition, he said.
Ukrainian attacks came in the Sumi region of Ukraine on Wednesday after Russian attacks overnight, resulting in several injuries, including a 7 -year -old girl, per authorities.
Local authorities also accused Ukraine of launching a drone strike in Belgorod, who injured three people, and another who killed a car in Pristen village, killing at least one person.

Despite the violence, Trump and Putin have been scheduled to meet in Akrej, Alaska on Friday for a high-dot summit on the future of the Ukraine War.
The meeting will hold Putin’s first visit to America since 2015 and the first US-Russia summit since June 2021.

Putin on Thursday praised the US for making “honest efforts” to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been furious since the beginning of 2022. While appearing on television, the Russian President said that America was “building, in my opinion, quite energetic and honest efforts to prevent enmity, to prevent crisis.
Zelancesi accused Russia of not honest with the intention of giving air to the war.
“This war must be abolished. Russia must be pressurized for peace. Ukraine and the experience of our colleagues should be used by Russia to prevent deception,” Zelancesi said.

“Currently, there is no indication that Russia are preparing to end war. Our coordinated efforts and joint action – Ukraine, the United States, Europe and all countries that want peace – can definitely force Russia to make peace,” he said.
