Lyonel Taylor, a widespread receiver of veteran Denver Bronchos, died at the age of 89 August 6, the team announced on Wednesday.
The team said, “One of the original Bronco and one of the most prominent players of its era, Taylor had a tremendous impact on the franchise during his seven sessions in Denver (1960–66),” the team said. Announcement.

Taylor finished his seven-year career in Denver as an all-time leader in reception (543), obtained yard (6,872) and touchdown reception (44). Taylor made the first two records for more than 30 years and still ranked in the top five in all three categories.
He became the first receiver in AFL or NFL history, with at least 100 receptions in a season.

Taylor has never held less than 76 passes and average more than 80 catches a year during his first six sessions. Her 84.7 catches per season per season from 1960–65 ranked as a total of six years in football history. In the same period, Taylor finished first in AFL/NFL reception (508), third in securing yard (6,424) and eighth in Touchdown reception (43).
Taylor was one of the four early indicators in the Danver Bronchos Ring of Fame in 1984.

For seven sessions, as Wide Receives Coach of Pittsburgh Steelers, he won two Super Bowl Rings and worked with the Hall of Fame receiver Lin Swan and John Stalworth. Taylor then worked as a comprehensive receiver coach and aggressive coordinator for Los Angeles Ram.
