A zoo has announced the birth of red panda twin children after introducing parents in 2024.
The cub was given on 17 June at Amazon World, Isle of White.
His 10 -year -old mother Jio was paired with a 10 -month -old male flint, when he was imported from the Belfast Zoo with a view of “reproduction in the next few years”, the zoo said earlier.
According to the International Union for Nature of Nature, species living in the Eastern Himalayas and China, which live in the Eastern Himalayas and China, are in danger and are on a decline.
In a Facebook post, the zoo, near Artert, said it was “on the moon” in its success.
It states: “Cubs are still young and always have a risk but Jio has done such a great job so far.
“The cubs will be hidden in the nest boxes till the age of at least three months.
“There have been senior employees and will continue to monitor the attachment, nest boxes and cubs through CCTV, to ensure that all is well.”
According to The Worlds Wide Fund for Nature, the red pandas are hunted for fur, get caught in the hunter’s wild boar and deer trap and are also in danger of forest clearance.
