Officials said that a retired Washington State Detective who survived shooting in duty in 2023, was found dead on Tuesday in a Montana lake on Tuesday.
The King County Sheriff Office confirmed Fox News Digital that David Easterly, 67, died after a Saturday boating incident.
The agency said in a statement, “Our views are with the family of detective Easterly and all who served with King County during their 25 -year career.” “We thank the Lake County Sheriff Office (MT) for his compassion and service during this time.”

The body of Easterly was taken to the office of Montana State Medical Examiner for a corpse examination, and the Lake County Coroner’s office is investigating the cause and manner.
