A puffin found in an inland of 110 miles (177 km) in a garden of the hefordshire is returned to the Welsh coast.
Cabard, named by Vats by Ona, was about half the weight when he was discovered in Stoke Lacey near Hearford in June.
After taking care for the weight for Pet’s Hearford, on Wednesday she was released at the sea in Martin’s Heaven, Pambrookshire to reconcile with her suspected colony.
Veet Elliot Goodwin said that he was “proud” to see the puffin back into the wild, as he was so far in such a bad way in strange circumstances from the coast.
On a trip to the Pembroxyire, he was placed in a cardboard carrier box, in which an icepack wrapped in a towel to prevent him from getting very hot.
When they stopped to investigate on her, “she was good and lively,” Jodi Mansar said, an RSPCA wildlife officer who was involved in the return of the puffin.
At the point of release, Ona was a “privilege” to be able to see and it was “a real learning experience” for all, Mr. Goodwin said.
He said that after being lost in the first place, it was good to go back to the wild.
