Ruben Amorim was 55 seconds at the post -match news conference, which lasted less than three and a half minutes in Old Trafford on Sunday, when he was asked a question, which raised him back and increased his eyebrows in disbelief.
This worried his goalkeeper and did he consider to choose Tom Heton, a former England man from the Altay Biondir for the Premier League defeat by Arsenal.
“Why?” The response came, staring with unwavering.
When Sir Alex was a Ferguson Manager, it was common in Manchester United.
Essentially, journalists often asked questions that Ferguson either realized that he was really ridiculous or who threatened to highlight a weakness. Either, Ferguson argued, demanded a terrible refutation and round of wagons.
“You are either with us, or against us,” was the mantra of Ferguson. Scott saw almost every journalist at the ‘Against As’ camp, so he treated his opinion with disdain, despite his validity.
Amorim spoke to Ferguson a week earlier at the inauguration of United’s Refammed Training Ground. Whether the strategy to deal with the media was discussed, it is open to the question.
But Amorim has definitely used this heat to try and create a tight bond with his squad, which came out on Sunday.
Incidents can quickly change the situations when a transfer window is with it and it has been established that Andre Onana’s former club Inter Milan is looking to bring a new goalkeeper. However, this is still the approach of those people in United on Monday, there will be no addition to that part of their squad.
United chose to refresh its attacker positions with the finance available for the club in this summer. When it became clear that Gianluigi Donarumma was likely to be available as he should no longer needed in Paris Saint German, the word coming out of the Old Trafford was the Italian goalkeeper who was not going on his way. It is not thought to change that attitude.
Choosing Onana against Arsenal is bound to come into Amorim’s thinking. After all, it could not be clear that his first choice was when 29-year-old was selected for the Europe League final in May, even though he had made high-profile mistakes in the build-up for Tottenham’s defeat in Bilbao.
However, while Amorim said at his pre-match news conference on Friday afternoon that Cameron International was available to face the side of Mikel Artetta, by kick-off, there were only three full training sessions behind them after suffering from Hamstring injury in July.
In Onana’s absence, Amorim thought that Biondir performed well during a summer campaign in three countries with United to be unbeaten and 27 was painted in three and a half of the five matches.
It was on the basis that Amorim concluded for the players to believe his ‘group’ philosophy, it would be a wrong decision for the ax, who did nothing worth it in his eyes, for Onana, whose fitness was to be taken on the trust.
He selected to go to the front leg at his post -news conference after his decision, which was part of a broad strategy.
