State Secretary Marco Rubio said on Thursday that “effective immediately” he would prevent a activist visa for commercial drivers after an illegal immigrant truck driver, who reportedly caused an accident that killed three people in Florida.
In a post on X, Rubio cited public safety for the move.
He wrote, “The increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on American roads is endangering American life and reducing the livelihood of American truck drivers,” he wrote.

DHS Assistant Secretary Trisia McLaglin replied for public affairs, stating that Singh was rejected under Trump in September 2020, but was given one under the Biden administration in June 2021.
Singh has been extradited from California to Florida to face three cases of vehicles killing.
