Russia began its biggest attack of the month against Ukraine, while Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski met with US President Donald Trump and European leaders at the White House.
The attack comes last Friday after the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Trump in Alaska, during which Putin immediately denied the ceasefire and demanded that Ukraine left his Eastern Donetsk region in exchange for a struggle that started with a February 2022 invasion by Moscow. Trump later said that he had talked about the arrangement of a meeting between Russian President and Zelanski over the phone with Putin.
Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched 270 drones and 10 missiles in Ukraine on Monday night and Tuesday, but 230 drones and six missiles were intercept or suppressed. The Air Force reported that 40 drones and four missiles hit 16 places, and the debris was asked to fall on three sites.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiha wrote on X, “Washington was having hard work for peace, DC … Moscow continued to contrast peace: more attacks and destruction,”
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, the energy was a goal of infrastructure attacks in the Poultva region. The casualty figures were not immediately released by the authorities.

The ministry said in a statement, “As a result of the attack, a large -scale fire broke out.”
The ministry said that oil refinement and gas facilities were attacked, saying that the attacks were the latest “systematic terrorist attacks against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which is a direct violation of the International Human Law.”
According to the Air Force, the attack was the largest after launching 309 drones and eight missiles in Ukraine on 31 July.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces shot 23 Ukrainian drones on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Both sides are targeting infrastructure including oil facilities.
Zelansky criticized Moscow for the first strike on Monday before his meeting at the White House, killing at least 14 people and injured dozens.
“The Russian war machine continues to destroy life despite everything. Putin will perform protesters to maintain pressure on Ukraine and Europe, as well as to humiliate diplomatic efforts. That is why we are seeking assistance to end killings,” he wrote on X on Monday morning.
