US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Alaska on Saturday and described Republican as “extremely productive”. While Trump said that the two leaders had not yet had to reach a deal in the case of Ukraine crisis, Putin said that he and his American counterpart had reached “understanding” on struggle.
As Trump today left for Alaska to meet his Russian counterpart today, he talked about his expectations from the meeting. In a conversation with Fox News, Trump was asked if Putin was an economic side to come to the table for talks, in which the US President mentioned India, saying that Russia has lost an oil customer – India.

“Well, he lost an oil customer to speak, which is India, which was doing about 40% oil, as you know a lot that is doing a lot … and if I have made secondary restrictions, it would be disastrous with his perspective .. If I have to do it, I will do it, I would not have to do it,” Trump said, “Trump said Vashington during interview for Fox News.
Trump’s comment was a few days later after threatening a 50% tariff on Indian imports citing Russia’s oil trade with Russia. “I determine that it is necessary and appropriate to implement an additional advertisement Veloum duty on imports of India’s articles, which is directly or indirectly importing the Russian Federation oil,” Trump wrote in the executive order in which he signed, increasing the tariff for India.
Half of these have been affected in declared duties, and the remaining are ready to be implemented on August 27.
‘There is no deal until there is a deal’
The much -awaited talks of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska came in the backdrop of efforts to end the Ukraine crisis with a peace agreement. While Putin said that during the talks a “understanding” had reached, Trump has clarified that no deal has been done so far.
Trump said, “There were many, many points that we agreed. I would tell some big people that we have not met there, but we have built some headways,” Trump said, “There is no deal until a deal is done.”
In a brief media conversation after a nearly three -hour talks in Alaska, both Trump and Putin suggested that a headway was built on some issues, but did not give any details and no question.
During the media conversation, Putin said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would not have started, Trump was President in 2022. He also thanked Trump for the “conversational tone” and warned the European Union not to “Torpedo” progress in talks in Alaska.
