Lucknow: On Thursday, the Samajwadi Party expelled rebel MLA Pooja Pal after a showering of praise on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly during a marathon discussion on Samaj -2047.In her speech, Pooja, who had first voted against the party line in the 2024 Rajya Sabha election, appreciated the CM for zero tolerance against crime and credited him to do justice for him in the case related to gangster-royal Atik Ahmed.SP chief Akhilesh Yadav immediately expelled him on charges of anti -party activities and indiscipline.Pooja selected from Chel constituency in Kaushambi district is the fourth of the SP MLAs who cross-voted for the BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections, which was expelled from the party.Former BSP MLA, Pooja’s husband Raju Pal, was shot and killed in January 2005, a few days after his marriage in Prayagraj, allegedly at the behest of Atik Ahmed.The MLA said that everyone knew who was behind her husband’s murder. He said that CM Yogi Adityanath heard him crying for justice when no one else did it, he said.
