Talking to Cazorla is an uplift experience. He smilingly, clearly loves for additional years that he has worked hard to achieve.
There has been a journey to reach here. After a spontaneous kick playing for Spain against Chile in 2013, he tolerated the ankle issues, but played for three years.
Till then the pain was very high and required treatment, but Kazorla did not expect several operations, leading to an infection that destroyed his wishes to about 11 centimeters and almost gave him the cost of his leg.
His bone had become soft. An operation was rebuilding their Achils, the surgeons were grafting the skin with their left hand – a tattoo of their daughter’s name – for their right ankle.
The doctors explained that they should be satisfied with re -running, let them play alone. Nevertheless, when asked what was the conversation, Kajorla – who describes her ankle as a “Ara puzzle” – recalls her disregard.
“I never talked like this,” they say. “The injury was really difficult. I was never honest with an injury, I was thinking that I had a small.”
Kajorla continued to do surgery until she could do it now.
“This was the most difficult moment in my career, not only in football but in my life,” he says. “I was without my family, my wife and children, but you have to fight – if you have a dream, you have to fight every day.
“My wife, children, my mother, brother … I had to fight for them. It was a very difficult time for me as a person.
“One day you are in Emirates to play and after a week you are alone in the hospital. It is difficult to control such feelings.”
However, Arsenal did not share the confidence of Caizorla’s return.
He once renewed his contract, but was unable to convince Gunners a new deal in 2018, eventually returned to Villarial for three years, where he added another 86 performance in his last 233.
“I remember when I started feeling better after a year and a half, I came back and asked,” Please give me a chance to prepare and when I would like to sign a year more, “he says, scored 180, scored 29 goals, scored 29 goals, in six years in the arsenal.”
“They told me that he felt that I would not return to the top level. It’s normal when you are out of two years.
“I was very honest with him – give me a chance because I am ready again. He said no and I have to understand that situation.”
He still speaks of gunars with affection, however, and is close to his captain Mikel Artetta at the Emirates Stadium. He is also open to return after retiring.
What comes next will be “something in football” but Kajorla will assess her options.
“If the Arsenal calls me, my door is open to listen to them because I love this club. My career was the best decision to go to Arsenal,” he says.
