A source in the Trump administration told Fox News that Sen Adam Shif, D-Calif, is subject to criminal investigation for hostage fraud.

A month after the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) was broken, a month after a story broke, a criminal referral was sent to the Department of Justice (DOJ), alleging that chiffs, in many examples, denied bank documents and property records to achieve more favorable debt conditions.
In an affidavit of 2011 signed by the then California Congressman, Shif proved that Montgomery County, a property in Maryland is his primary residence.

Shif also owns a condomineium in Burbank, California, which he has also claimed as his primary residence as a recent 2023 during his campaign for the Senate.
Shif’s office did not immediately respond to the request of Fox News Digital to comment on the case.
