Democratic Sen Tina Smith of Minnesota was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, when she started feeling unwell while working at Capital, according to a statement by her employees.
“While working in the capital today, Sen Smith did not start feeling good,” Read a post on X. “She went to the capital doctor, who recommended that she goes through more intensive examination at GW Hospital.”

The doctors have opted him overnight “the option to keep him out of an abundance of caution,” his office said.
“She expects to come back to work very soon,” the statement said.
Smith, 67, has served in the Senate since 2018.
