A serial Conman, who stolen a nurse, an apprentice and an electrician and sentenced an electrician to a nine -year prison for stealing elderly victims.
Robert Markward set his way to the homes of nine weaker people in Irshire between December 2022 and March 2023.

Judge Lady Ross Casey said although the stolen amount was not great and was around £ 600, the severity of crimes “cannot be measured only in pound sterling.”
He accused Markward of “making a career out of dishonesty’s crimes” and said that he is “special in hunting the elderly.”
The previous sentences did not give any clear obstacle to the Markward to shut down, the judge said, and the author of the Criminal Justice Social Work Report believed that it was almost certain that he would re -humiliate if he was released in future.
Speaking in the High Court in Glasgow, Lady Ross said that some of the stolen stolen people were particularly weak.
Reading a statement by the daughter of a victim, Lady Ross said that the elderly woman had violated the crime and violated a little.
Lady Ross said: “She is a strong, sensible woman but this incident has shaken her confidence in strangers.”
He said that Markward committed a “bad crime”.
The court heard that she introduced as an electrician to achieve access to the retirement apartment of an 88 -year -old woman in AYR. Then he stole his purse and bank card.

He has stored a total of 38 convicts involved in 106 allegations in the 1980s.
Some of his most recent crimes took place in a housing complex, which he had targeted for more than 20 years.
He was imprisoned in 2002 to cheat the elderly people, when he was sentenced to four years in jail in the High Court in Glasgow.
But when prepared for parole on home leave, he hit again.
In 2005, he was imprisoned for six years, a priest and as a Dharamshala worker in Ire and Prestwick to complete the crimes of dishonesty.
He was released early on the license, but within a few days he resumed his insults in Irshire and Glasgow.
Markward was imprisoned in 2010 for seven years in 2010 after stealing from several elderly victims. He told a 75 -year -old woman that he was a friend of his son and persuaded her to give her lunch on Sunday.
He then stole a purse that had £ 120, bank card and bracelets belonging to his grandson.
Markward was again released early, but after targeting the elderly victims in Clydbank, was imprisoned for 10 years in 2016. He was released in early 2022.
In the latest test, the serial thief insisted that he certainly did not commit crime against the elderly.
On March 27, the charge of stealing a purse in Prestvick was not proved.
Adam Statchura, Director, Policy Director, Charity Edge Scotland earlier said that Markward’s crimes were “sick”.
He said: “I think the court has done a very important job in clarifying how seriously they take such crimes, and hopefully it becomes a barrier to those who think about hunting on the elderly.
“It is ill to think about the number of people caught by this man.”
