New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday allowed Aadhaar as a legitimate document for applicants to include Aadhaar in the election list of Pol-Bound Bihar.A bench of Justices Suryakant and Joymla Bagchi directed the Election Commission to accept the application of voters who were excluded in the electoral list through online mode and said that it is not necessary to present the physical of the form.

- The apex court also said that the claim form can be submitted with the Aadhaar card or any other 11 acceptable documents.
- The bench said, “We will allow the Aadhaar card or any other acceptable documents to be allowed to present the claims of voters online with any other acceptable documents.”
- The bench directed 12 recognized political parties in Bihar to direct their booth level agents to present forms to help individuals in their respective booths.
- The bench said, “All political parties had filed a status report by the next date of hearing as a claim, which they had provided the facility to file by the voters excluded.”
- The apex court also surprised that only two objections were filed from political parties, despite having 1.6 lakh bones.
- The bench said, “We are surprised to see that 1.6 lakh Blass has so far recorded only two objections. On the other hand, some political parties presented that Blass is not allowed to present its objections,” the bench said.
- However, Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi accused the Election Commission officials of not accepting the objections given by the parties.
- The bench directed the election officials to present an acknowledgment receipt to the booth level agents of political parties, which present the claims of physically excluded voters.
- Senior advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, who was present for the poll panel, urged the court that the ECI had a 15 -day window to show that there was no exclusion. Dwivedi said, “Political parties are crying and weeping and things are not bad. Tell us confidence again and give us some more time. We will be able to show you that there are no exclusion.”
