Six severe heads have been found on a road in Central Mexico, usually not associated with cartel violence in an area.
Local authorities discovered on a route on Tuesday morning, connecting publa and widely peaceful states of Talksla.
The police have not given any purpose for the murders or said who can take them out of the criminal groups working in Mexico.
Local media has reported that a blanket was released on the spot with a message issuing a warning to rival gangs and apparently signed by a group called “La Barradora”, meaning the sweeper.
It is the same name as a small known criminal group working in the western state of Gurro, but it is not clear whether they were behind the attack or why.
According to the AFP news agency, the local prosecutor’s office said that the prominent men found in Talkala were of the men and it has initiated the investigation into the killings.
Along with drug-trafficking, there is an issue in the region with fuel smuggling, known as “Huchikolia”, which generates billions of dollars per year for groups behind illegal activity.
So far, federal officials have not commented on the murders.
They come amid a large crack on Fentanole Trafficking by the administration of President Claudia Shinbaum.
Puebla and Tlaxcala are not like major cartel violence in other parts of the country.
In June, the bodies of 20 people – four of them decapit – were found in Sinaloa, which was baffled by a state gang violence.
Seven Mexican youth were also killed in a shooting at a Catholic Church festival in the central state Gunajuato in May.
There has been an increase in violence among cartoles in recent years, killing hundreds of thousands of people and tens of thousands as the government first started using the Mexican army against the Mexican army in 2006.
