A teenage boy has accepted to throw a large seat from the top floor of an East London shopping center for an internet prank, disappearing shopkeepers.
On March 1, he and another youth were arrested after a video of the incident filmed at Westfield in Stratford.
Two 15-year-old children, who cannot be nominated for legal reasons, have appeared in the Strateford Magistrate Court, where the youth who throwed the seat convicted criminal damage and caused a public disturbance from negligence. He has been granted bail until he was sentenced on 13 August.
The teenager accused of filming the incident denied the allegations and will appear in court on 24 September next time.
The video of the incident shot by one of the boys was shown in the court, showing a hooded youth, throwing a heavy blue seat on a glass of Balestrad before taking oath in the opposite direction of the pair.
Prosecutor Elizabeth Ajay said seat, The shopping was taken from a public sector of the mall, thrown from the top floor.
“It’s lucky that no one was injured,” he said.
The pair had carried out previous stunts, such as “throwing bridges in trains”, the court was told.
Both boys accepted their participation in police interviews, Ms. Ajay said.
In a victim influence statement, the Westfield Security Officer said that there was “restlessness” among customers since the incident.
