At least 12 people have died as violent clashes with the Thailand-Kambodia border have increased. Amid growing tension, Thailand has closed its boundary with Cambodia.
One of Thailand’s six F -16 fighter jets fired in Cambodia with its disputed border and destroyed a military target, RecitablyWhich cited the Thai army. The outlet said that the National Defense Ministry of Cambodia said that the jets dropped two bombs on a road. In late Wednesday, Thailand recalled its ambassador to Cambodia and announced that it would expel ambassador from Cambodia. Additionally, the Cambodian Foreign Ministry demanded all Thai diplomatic employees to leave the country.

Although it is not clear how the latest clashes between Cambodia and Thailand began, the violence follows a dispute in May, during which the troops from both sides exchanged the fire. As The Associated PressBoth sides said they acted in self -defense and a Cambodian soldier was killed.
After provoking in May, the two countries retaliated, in which Thailand eventually stopped almost all border crossings before they completely closed them. Meanwhile, Cambodia banned Thai films and TV.
