S. Ramdoss, the founder of Patali Makkal Kachi (PMK) S. Ramdos, defended him, a day after filing a complaint against his son, party leader and former Union Minister Ambumani Ramdos, alleging evolution, alleging evolution through a bugling device placed at his residence.
Party spokesperson K Balu recently removed his post as President of the Advocates Forum, Samoge Needi Pervai, the founder of the PMK has been incompatible and made various contradictory statements on the evolution issue.
Balu said, “If you see, first he said that he does not know who has installed a bugling device in his house, then he said that the event media houses can be established, yesterday he said that Abumani has installed.” “We will wait for the investigation. This truth will be revealed.”
Abumani has not yet issued any response to his father’s allegations.
Meanwhile, the father and son have announced a separate general council meetings on 17 August and 9 August respectively, leaving the party cadre in a difficult place.
“If there is a son who spies his own father, it is Abumani,” said on Saturday.
The PMK founder said, “They have peeped on me. I have filed a complaint with the police about the bugging device found in my house. We have handed over the equipment to the police. I have also hired a special agency to find out who is behind it.”
Ramdos also illegally rejected the meeting of the General Council called by his son.
Ramdos on Saturday called Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin to inquire about his recent health post after being admitted to his recent hospital, allegedly speculated that he would seek an alliance with the ruling party in the 2026 assembly elections.
PMK has historically transferred frequent loyalty between DMK and AIADMK. An influential party in Tamil Nadu with a 5% core vote bank from Vanniyar community, it is currently a major ally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
In December 2024, there was a disagreement between father and son over the party leadership.
On 29 May, Ramdos said he wanted the party to align with AIADMK, but Abumani insisted that he remain in NDA. He also said that he had regretted making Abumani the Union Minister (in the UPA-I government) when he was later only 35 years old.
Ramdos, in his May 29 interview, also said that he realized the intentions of Abumani to handle the party during the swearing -in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, when the latter told him that he would take care of the party.
Ambumni was made the president of PMK in 2023.
To be clear, Ramdos was only confirmed on the record as to what the record has been known since the AIADMK left the BJP in 2023 before patching up on this April.
After partition, people in the NDA including PMK took the BJP with only DMDK (Desia Maravid Kazgam) towards AIADMK.
On 11 April, 85 -year -old patriarchy again took over the party from Abumani. He declared himself President and announced that Abumani would be its executive chairman. The next day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a state campaign visit, announced that the BJP and AIADMK had resolved their differences and would fight together with the 2026 elections.
