Sarojdevi. Meta read in English auto-translation: “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah passed away yesterday, senior actress B took a glimpse of Sarojdevi’s worldly body and paid her last honor.”
‘Facial auto-translation is distorting facts and users are misleading’
Angered by mistake, Siddaramaiah took his X account and said, “The faulty auto-translation of Kannada content on the meta platforms is distorting facts and misleading users. It is particularly dangerous when it comes to official communication.”The Chief Minister emphasized that social media platforms need to exhibits responsibility, especially about official communication, and citizens were advised to consistently impurities in platform translations.On 16 July, CM’s media advisor, KV Prabhakar sent an email to Meta, with an email expressing serious concern about the automatic translation of Kannada content on Facebook and Instagram.CM said in a post on X, “My media advisor has formally written the meta for immediate improvement.
