Social media users accused the New York Times of being in favor of a “military coup”, which, after publishing a guest essay with the title, “We thought that the army would stand for Trump. We were wrong.”
Former National Security Council members Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson Essay written On Wednesday, in response to President Donald Trump, the National Guard was posted in Washington, DC, in an attempt to compete with the crime. The essay continued, “But today, general officials no longer look at themselves as the guardians of the constitutional order. Now it seems clear that the army will not save Americans from misuse of Mr. Trump’s military capabilities.”
X’s commentators accused Simon and Stevenson and New York Times of arguing in favor of a military rebellion against Trump.
GOP’s commentator Steve Guest wrote, “New York Times is a supporter coup against President Trump. Obama NSC officials Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson have a burning heap of garbage in the Times written by Stevenson.”
Global trade analyst Kenneth Rapoja wrote, “NYT will absolutely support a military coup if the Democrats were in the White House. Leave me otherwise. They will tell you how well and simply tell you how good and just that their urban educated readers who went to NYU will make you disagree.
“By the way, it is a great definition of a coup – and it is the exact contrast to maintain each member of the army,” Jevan A Price, a member of former Biren Donalds Staff, commented.
“New York Times is really saying loudly to the cool part, huh?” Robert Sterling, the founder of EV Partners, jokingly made fun of.
“Buy guns and blessings,” Townhall.com Senior columnist Kurt Shlitcher warned.
Mike Solana, editor of pirate wires, wrote, “Every now and then the media shouts and I am surprised … Wait, do I really be worried? And then they do something like a wild like New York Times asks for a military coup in the pages of the New York Times and I remember, Lol, they say that they hate.”
“NYT is expecting a military coup in the US,” the columnist Karol Markovicz wrote with a screenshot of the headline.

In a statement by Fox News Digital, a NYT spokesperson defended the piece, saying that it was “from two veteran national security experts” and “before the publication was completely facts.”
The spokesperson said, “The opinion of the New York Times regularly publishes guest essays from a variety of writers from political spectrum, including the Trump administration, and from the Trump administration.”
Simon also defended the essay, stating that Fox News Digital, whoever reads it could conclude that he was in favor of a military coup.
Simon said, “For action, military leaders should give the President’s best professional advice and decide for themselves whether they should resign if their advice is disregarded,” Simon said.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly criticized the article, called it a “dangerous rhetoric”.
“It is related to the fact that the New York Times will print this dangerous rhetoric on our army, which will call our army to rise mainly against President Trump. The President was elected brilliantly to focus on the readiness and exponibility in the dod, and he is reaching that promise,” Kelly explained the Fox News Digital.

The Editorial Board of the New York Times first written the National Guard against Trump in Los Angeles and wrote in relation to anti-i-i demonstrations in June. He argued that sending soldiers had a “real emergency” in Los Angeles and “made a lot of chaos that was designed to stop it.”
