NADDA said that 662 border villages have been identified under Phase -1 of the program. He said that the Union Health Ministry has attempted to establish at least one Ayushman Aogya Temple for every 1,000-1,500 people in these areas, which are complementary by mobile medical units to ensure healthcare access to all.
The VVP was launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 10, 2023 for the villages of strategic importance in the blocks ending the northern border in the mission mode to improve the quality of life of the people living in the identified border villages.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Nadda said, “The perception of Seema villages as the last villages of the country has changed in recent years, with a new vision to identify them as the first villages of the nation and develop them into a vibrant hub.”
He emphasized that women and youth empowerment focusing a central focus on this initiative, in which training and skill development programs aim to promote entrepreneurship in areas such as horticulture and flower culture.
